Is stomach fat removal possible with CoolSculpting®?

You’re not alone in considering whether you can reduce stomach fat, 78% of people we've surveyed in the past say they're bothered by the excess around their torso too.  The good news is you have options.  CoolSculpting® is the number one non-invasive body contouring treatment*, with over eight million treatments** and counting.

CoolSculpting® is a non-surgical alternative to liposuction and other fat reduction procedures for the stomach but also for many other treatment areas.  But how does it actually work?  Here, we look at why stomach fat removal with CoolSculpting® is effective and long-lasting, helping you to feel more confident in your own skin.

How does a CoolSculpting® stomach fat procedure work?

CoolSculpting® uses a process called cryolipolysis, which is also more commonly known as fat freezing.  CoolSculpting® is the original cryolipolysis technology and is based on two decades of research and development.

During the procedure, your practitioner will use one of the specially-designed CoolSculpting® applicators, which have a vacuum to gently pull the stubborn stomach fat inside, where it will be cooled. Once these fat cells cool down to -5 degrees, they will crystallise and be destroyed, this process is called apoptosis.  Over the following three months, these dead fat cells will naturally be disposed of using the inflammatory clearing process that is already happening in your body every day.

One of the benefits of CoolSculpting® is that most patients can immediately get back to their daily routine, as there is little-to-no downtime with this non-invasive procedure.  Depending on the area or areas you are having treated, it can take as little as 35 minutes, however for stomach fat removal it will generally be a longer treatment time due to the size of the area.

Why is CoolSculpting® stomach fat removal effective?

We wholly recommend incorporating a balanced diet and exercise into your lifestyle, but you may find that some of the more stubborn pockets of fat on your stomach don’t shift with these healthy habits alone.  This is where CoolSculpting® can help.

CoolSculpting® doesn’t just shrink fat cells, it destroys them altogether.  This means that the treatment is long-lasting, and when added to a healthy lifestyle can help keep off that excess stomach fat for good.  CoolSculpting® is FDA-cleared and the most proven technology in the non-surgical fat reduction category.  We also only work with medical led clinics and provide in-depth training to all practitioners.

What results can I expect?

As a long-lasting treatment, most patients find the results typically appear two to three months after the procedure.  But some have reported seeing continuous results long past the six-month mark.  Take a look at our before and after gallery to see the results for yourself.
