Feeling more comfortable in your skin can sometimes come at a cost. Before you know it, you can quite easily spend a fortune on diet plans and personal trainers. But what happens when your investment doesn't pay off? We've provided eight million CoolSculpting® treatments worldwide*, and it's a story we hear time and time again.
The truth is this: fat is harder to burn in some places. And because exercise and dieting shrink the fat cells hiding in certain problem areas, it's not uncommon for fat to return the minute you stop exercising. CoolSculpting® destroys these fat cells in your target area, by freezing them and letting the body naturally dispose of them. **
Does CoolSculpting® hurt? After a few minutes the area goes numb, so most patients find the treatment tolerable. The post-treatment massage can be uncomfortable for some, but it is an important part of the treatment as it helps to further break down those stubborn fat cells.
You’re probably wondering if the procedure is expensive. Like liposuction, the surgical alternative to CoolSculpting®, the overall cost depends on the individual. Each patient has their own personal treatment plan, and the cost is related to the medical oversight that your treatment will have, as well as the follow-up procedures to monitor your results.
But remember that with CoolSculpting®, the frozen fat cells are gone for good, and 82% of CoolSculpting® patients say they would recommend CoolSculpting® to a friend.
What does the cost of CoolSculpting® include?
CoolSculpting® is based on a straightforward but effective procedure that draws on 20 years of research. It’s called cryolipolysis, which is the medical term for fat freezing. During your consultation with a practitioner it will be determined if CoolSculpting® is right for you and if so a bespoke treatment plan will be drawn up. This treatment plan will help to form the related costs for your CoolSculpting® procedure and how long your treatment will take. You can then book in for your treatment date.
Treatment times vary depending on the area/s being focused on, but can start from 35 minutes. During the procedure, a trained practitioner will treat the area/s discussed during your consultation. By placing an applicator over the area, they will use a vacuum to draw in the pocket of fat and chill the applicator to freeze the fat cells so that they crystallise. The whole procedure is well-tolerated, and many patients take books and magazines to read. And as CoolSculpting® is non-surgical, there's no need for general anaesthesia. Factors like this make it a preferred treatment over surgical treatments like liposuction.
CoolSculpting® is an FDA (Food and Drug Administration) cleared fat freezing treatment, and we only work with medical-led clinics as this is a permanent procedure.
Of course, more important than cost is your safety. To minimise the risk of freeze burns, our treatment includes a protective gel pad for the skin and our machines are fitted with FreezeDetect®, which monitors the temperature throughout the treatment. If the temperature changes outside of the treatment range, the system will shut off, effectively stopping the procedure.
